Hello Chrysoberyl

On my 2nd day of playing I worked up enough courage to say a hello here and there in the LS.

It's a mite bit strange, because most of the names in this LS look so familiar to me since I would see them on Ashriel's screen when she plays, and she would also tell me much about her LS members to the point where I know a lot of what they have been through and done together and what their personalities are like.

SOOOO in a way it feels like I already know these people, but I really don't, and they obviously have no idea who I am :D I'M A STALKER LOLS HI2U!

But anyway, I started talking a tiny wee bit in the LS chat recently. Usually I just tend to listen (or rather, watch/read) their conversations while remaining unobstrusively quiet and dead-ish, at least until Ashriel signs on and then it's all gates removed and LOLTIME and we pretty much gab about anything and everything and flood the LS chat with nonsense XD

While there's not very many people in the LS, I like to think of it as being quality over quantity (well, with the exception of me, of course, since I'm way too new) since everyone in the LS has been amazingly fun and helpful (and also perverted, but saving that for another post). Especially the guy who Ashy tells me uses "My goldfish is on fire" as an excuse to go afk, his advice has probably saved me from an extra few deaths at least a good amount of times. XD

The others all have the crazy wacky sense of humor that Ash and I share. I should've expected that her LS members would all be like her >:B But well there we have it! Although I think that Ashriel wants the LS the grow, with the LS being quite small, but I really like it this way :O It feels like a small (and dysfunctional) family but it's quite snug and self-sufficient. Or at least I like to think that. Or maybe I'm the only one who thinks that. But the main point is, I <3 our LS~ :D

P.S.
I shot all the way up to level 14 on THF hurhurhurhur. weeeee

The Adventure Begins-

So around this time marks the day I officially started playing the extremely engaging game of FFXI.

I've always wanted to play but the idea of paying monthly for a game AFTER already having bought the game had always been a bit of a turn-off for me. I've been watching Ashriel play for 2+ years now though, yet when I reached that stage where I became nominally more financially independent enough to start playing on my own, she quit. Obviously I didn't want to play without her, yet about a few weeks back she started picking up the game again, and this past weekend literally shoved the FFXI friendscode pass into my face, and forced me to play it. Needless to say, I got hooked pretty fast. Right now I is a level 9 hume F thief starting out in the wonderfully pretty and witty and ghey land of Elvaan men aka San D'Oria, bravely smashing small bunnies, for it is the manly thing to do. (Duh)

Starting out the game with a friend who's already been playing for awhile is a very fortunate thing. I've been lucky enough to get into an LS since day 1 of playing, Ashy made sure to give me a linkpearl right off the bat as well as gilsies and advice to start me off. Knowing that gil does not come easy though, I vowed to pay her back soon as I can. But for the moment, enjoying a brand new level 7 leather set is purddy nice. Not too much else to say today, other than I'm enjoying my FFXI experience so far. :D
